                     Betsy Roberts was reared in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA.
                         She attended Maryville College in Tennessee, where she
                          studied music education in her under-graduate and
                          graduate work.

                      Betsy  trained as a vocalist and occasionally performs
                          solos during St. John's worship services.

        Today Betsy teaches music in several Toledo schools,
               using the Orff Schulwerk educational process, which
               employs instruments, rhythmic speech, dance, and
               singing.

            Betsy has directed the senior choir at St. John's since
                1981.  The senior choir, an all volunteer group, is
                well-known throughout Fremont and surrounding
                communities as an outstanding musical group.
                They present an anthem to the congregation every
                week of the year.

           Besides direction of the senior choir, Betsy also teaches
               the youth of the congregation as she leads the music
               of the junior department of St. John's Sunday School,
               which provides an anthem for worship once each month.

        Betsy is married toDr. John Roberts, St. John's organist,
               and lives in Bowling, Green, Ohio. They have two adult
               children, Elizabeth and Joel, who also live in Bowling
               Green.
